To Luke, Resus, Cleo, Chilli and the rest of my extended family...
It's going to be a nice Christmas, even with these old-fashioned looking Christmas specials airing on CBBC and all that Junior Eurovision stuff that's going on. CBBC has been lying to us about The Next Step all year! This sucks! Anyway, I look forward to spending Christmas with all the family just like Donald and his family did in my favourite Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas segment, Donald Duck: Stuck On Christmas. We'd spend Christmas Eve in front of the fire telling stories, or we could sit in front of the TV and watch Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas while sipping hot mugs of cocoa and eating and sharing chocolate cookies, remembering to leave some out for Santa and his reindeer. I can imagine every Christmas in our family: me and the kids excitedly waiting for Santa and his reindeer and asking Mike to taste his delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies (you know Mike makes the best cookies), Luella writing about Resus in her diary upstairs, Bluey and her sister and cousins playing 'reindeer ride' with Bandit and Uncle Stripe (the Christmas equivalent of Horsey Ride), Sue helping bake cookies with Mike and trying to make sure he doesn't burn them, Alston and Bella glad they're not seeing the Grumpus in this safe world, Niles getting tangled up in tinsel, Eefa magically putting up decorations, Dr F feeling merry and festive unusually, Chilli and Aunt Trixie preparing the festivities and Nana enjoying a well earned mug of tea.
Then, on Christmas Day, I remember cries of "He's been!" as us kids and family members exchange presents, then we can enjoy a hearty Christmas breakfast of bacon, eggs and pancakes. Then we'd play with our toys, some of the grown ups sleeping upstairs, some making Christmas dinner for later. The Christmas dinner itself would be fabulous - us eating turkey and stuffing with Black Magic for dessert, chatting and laughing and reading Christmas cracker jokes as merry music played on the stereo. Then, we'd relax in front of the TV and watch something like Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas on TV while us kids nod off to sleep.
What a lovely Christmas it'll be. I hope I spend it with you someday. I give my love to each and every one of you - especially Luke, Resus, Cleo, Bluey and Bingo.
Love,
Sophie

Ahhhhh....Christmas traditions are wonderful, like Horrid H's Christmas Cracker leading up to Christmas Eve, I love that one!
