The Nightmare

LET THE NIGHTMARE BEGIN!! I had a dream strange but true That might shock and terrify you It’s from my house in Cornwall, you see, And this dream meant much harm to me. I was asleep in bed, enjoying Dreamland’s ride With Luke, Resus and Cleo asleep by my side Chester asleep on one end of the bed As a soppy dream began filling my head My friends and I were roaming around the street Where on the windows cupcakes were cooling for us to eat There were games to play in the graveyard with friends Oh, this joy never ends Suddenly, the sky began to glow blood red The sun became orange and above our heads Tall skyscrapers began to tower As the residents ran in a scattering shower The American flag was lifted above, America’s taking the friends I love So I took out my gun and returned fire The hole in the flag reached my desire “How do you like it?” I yelled in anger, “America, you’re a trapjawed cloakandagger!” Suddenly, an arm took hold of my hand And dragged me away, not to Dreamland But to a...

December Journal Prompts

This post will really help you with your hectic December, preparing for Christmas and wrapping up presents and worrying about Scream Street being signed (no offence to deaf people). I tried it, and it, was, relieving. Click the link below and start writing! https://natashalh.com/december-journal-prompts/

17 Days Of Christmas Day 5 - The Grumpus

"We hate you!" -Mr Watson to the BBC Bad news - the special Christmas episode of Scream Street is being signed. We can't let that happen, can we? Not even to a street full of calm, concentrated monsters. So, here's the Grumpus without that annoying person signing in the corner. You'll enjoy Christmas if you're deaf. In the meantime, deaf viewers, please enjoy the signed edition of the Grumpus. You're welcome. https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b087tf34/scream-street-series-1-31-the-grumpus

17 Days Of Christmas Day 4 - Christmas Turkey Pizza

Traditions are great, then order pizza for Christmas dinner...and you're making pizza out of scabby bits of turkey right now! https://www.taste.com.au/recipes/christmas-turkey-pizza/ae26a1b6-a4ae-43ca-b7e9-5c05aeba9fa8

17 Days Of Christmas Day 3 - My Recommended Gifts To Give Loved Ones

5. Bluey Figure 6-Pack . This is the ultimate Bluey set to give to little ones - or sometimes play with yourself - that you can't take your eyes off. It features Bluey and her family, plus Bluey's baby cousin Socks and her friends Indy, Chloe and Honey. Of course, it won't be complete without the playsets, including the Heeler family car and Bandit with the surfboard! 4. Scream Street: The Petrifying Puzzle Book . We may have passed a whole Halloween filled with horrible adventures that follow up Scream Street's despaired second season, but this will keep your mind off of those awful mishaps, including Cleo hanging out with Luella😭. Including puzzles that feature new, book-exclusive characters and code puzzles that help test your maths skills, this is one book you're sure to get, along with... 3. Scream Street: The Terrifying Trivia Book . This book is jam-packed with facts about spooky stuff! Whether you want to make them into short stories, this is a must-buy alo...

17 Blogs Of Christmas Day 2 - Mickey & Minnie Christmas Baubles

To celebrate the premiere of Mickey Saves Christmas on Disney+, here's a fun craft you'd like to try with your little mouseketeers: some Mickey and Minnie Christmas baubles! And trust me, that special features stop motion animation, which is much better than Mickey's horrible CGi movies and series. https://dolledupdesign.net/2013/11/23/weve-got-ears-mickey-christmas-balls/

17 Blogs Of Christmas Day 1 - 5 CBBC Shows To Avoid Throughout Christmas & The New Year

5. Shaun The Sheep: The Flight Before Christmas . I mean, it's a great special and all, but there's one thing missing: it needs a narrator, and who better to narrate it than Brian Blessed. Timmy Time recently got a narrator, and it's not Jane Horrocks! I wish she did narrate the series though. 4. Pokemon: Detective Pikachu . SERIOUSLY?! A LIVE ACTION POKEMON MOVIE?! ON CBBC?!!?! I'll have their heads ripped off! 3. Shaun The Sheep: Farmageddon . I would like to enjoy this tale of family and finding your way home, but I'm really sorry, there's another Shaun movie that I would really love to see: the original one. 2. Danny & Mick . Here we go again! Just like two years ago, Danny & Mick has new episodes set to ring in the New Year, but it would be better if real children between the ages of 6 and 8 guided them and helped them, ala the puppet series The Mighty Jungle. 1. Nova Jones . We wish you a merry Christmas....AND A BRATTY NEW YEAR!! WHY, CBBC?! Why o...

A Little Ballet Music...

Cleo's Cookies

Cleo is ace at making hot chocolate, because she places cream, marshmallows and a Flake in it. I love her cookies too, because she always makes them with nice chocolate chips, and sometimes M&M's...and viola! You have a nice family treat.

Letter To Verandah Santa...

"Just close your eyes and in your mind, You'll see the toy you'd like to find, So dream your dreams without a care, And your thoughts will take you there." https://www.bluey.tv/make/letter-to-verandah-santa/

Winter Picnic

After the beginning of 2016, Luke, Resus, Cleo and I had a Winter picnic in my bedroom, complete with toasted cheese sandwiches, sausage rolls, baked potatoes with butter and cheese and hot chocolate.

Yule Log With Strawberry Syrup!

Do you remember Matilda & The Ramsay Bunch? I do, and so do Luke, Resus and Cleo! I remember back at the end of 2015 before the new year they helped her make a Yule Log for all her CBBC friends, complete with luscious strawberry syrup! Speaking of which, you can make a yule log yourself, and don't forget the strawberry syrup! https://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/yule_log_15656 https://toriavey.com/strawberry-simple-syrup/

The Christmas Dream House Car

My Christmas dream house car would consist of a hot chocolate bar, a cosy room with a Christmas tree, a present dispenser for Christmas day, and a home theatre where we can watch movies, with popcorn and cupcake dispensers and drinks and pink stereos for playing music.

Roach Fighters

As cavepeople, Luke, Resus, Cleo and I try to force some pesky cockroaches out of our cave so we can relax. Years later, Rusty, Jack and Coco find these 300 million-year-old roach bones and free us seeing us trapped in the ice.

Fear The Mirror!

Alston, Bella and Resus are thrown into a panic when they see Mr Watson reading a newspaper called The Mirror, and set up a Vampaign to get other vampires to ban this newspaper forever.

Welcome To The Christmas Market

Chilli's taking me and my extended family for a trip to Santa's grotto. There's a lot my siblings have to ask for for Christmas, and after that we're going on an ice rink to do some skating. Next, we're going to a Christmas market to try some bread and cheese and buy some nice gifts to exchange. When we get home, we're going to bring out the popcorn and hot cocoa and watch Bingo's choice of a film for us to watch: Kipper in Christmas Eve & Other Stories on VHS.

Polar Bears

When it's cold outside and we are tucked up in our cosy bed, Luke, Resus, Cleo and I love to snuggle up together and imagine we're polar bears, huddled in our den with our mother. We emerge and slide down the snow, screaming with joyous laughter. We play in the snow, making snow angels and throwing snowballs. Our mother teaches us how to fish and survive fierce snowstorms.

Literally Family Christmas

My extended family and I are reading The Snowman together, then going on a Gruffalo Trail.

Cosy Winter Evenings

I prefer cosy, snuggly evenings in a warmly lit room, with me and my monster family cuddled up in front of the TV watching Mickey's Christmas Carol and sipping mugs of hot cocoa, while Luke, Resus, Cleo and me sleep curled up on the sofa.

Muffin's Videos

Bingo is excited because Muffin's bringing her videos round for Christmas, but Dad is trying to find the VHS player. Muffin is excited because, after a long hard week of ballet lessons, she's going to Santa's Wonderland with her family!

Cookies & Milk(shake)

Six is having relatives round to spend Christmas with her and her adopted mother Dr F. They are going to have Christmas dinner, then go to Somerset House for a spot of ice skating. The best part? Six and I are going to chow down on chocolate chip cookies, drink chocolate milkshakes and watch Mickey's Twice Upon A Christmas in Dr F's cosy living room.

By The Sea

In Summer, Bluey, Bingo, Luke, Resus, Cleo and I love to take long walks by the sea.

Otto's Ride

Otto and his mum board a rollercoaster that takes them into Space and sends them flying towards the moon.

A Night In With Six

I'm going to plan a lovely day with my cousin Six! We're going to bake chocolate chip cookies all ready for Christmas, then settle down in front of the TV with warm mugs of cocoa and watch Mickey's Twice Upon A Christmas together.

Talking To Luke, Resus & Cleo About...

....Bingo's presents and fantasies. Bingo wants some crayons for Christmas, and she loves seeing Mr Bear's Christmas on Youtube so much she wishes to become an animator for Disney and recreate it using hand-drawn animation. She'd love to lead a revolution to bring 2D hand drawn animation back to film and television, as CGI sucks!

Bingo's Present

For Christmas, Bingo wants some clothes for Floppy, and some colourful crayons. Bingo loves watching Mr Bear's Christmas on Youtube, and she imagines the special as a hand-drawn, properly animated Walt Disney Pictures special done in the style of Mickey's Christmas Carol and The Lion King and Beauty & The Beast and stuff.

The Ghost Of Christmas Past

Dr Skulley is the Ghost Of Christmas Past. He shows Luke, Resus and Cleo their happy past and tells them that unless they get rid of their dreaded second season, Scream Street won't be celebrating a happy Christmas this year.

Something You Wanted

It was raining in Scream Street. The rain poured down like a million tiny water bombs, waiting to make puddles everywhere. Some water trickled down roofs and fell on the heads of unsuspecting residents, making it a very bad day for some. But for me, my Aunt F and my cousin Six, it was a joyful day. We always find fun when we go out for walks in the rain, and that’s why, with our raincoats and boots on, we always like to jump in puddles as we go along. Best of all, there are no cars to worry about - except for the gross Goblin Taxi that passes every so often. Being in the rain was our favourite part of going outside. “Ah, I see you like the rain more than anyone else.” said Aunt F, smiling proudly. “Look at that zombie over there - he had to shelter from the rain using a newspaper.” Sure enough, we saw a zombie struggling through the rain, holding his wet newspaper over his head like an umbrella! This made us both giggle. “Why aren’t there any umbrellas for everyone to stay dry under in...

Bingo Loves Mr Bear's Christmas

Bingo loves watching Mr Bear's Christmas. It's something the whole Heeler family should watch together. But what we really want to watch together are two of my favourite classic CBeebies Christmas specials: Mouse & Mole At Christmas Time and CBeebies Snow Babies. Snow Babies features cute animals, while Mouse & Mole is a charming special about brotherhood and believing in Heaven.

A Scream Street Carol

Luke has invited Resus and Cleo to his house for a Christmas Eve sleepover, but suddenly worries about everything that has been going on in Scream Street since Season 2 aired on TV. He and his friends are visited by three spirits who show him their happy past, their depressing present and their ugly future lying ahead of them. Shame they didn't invite me. After all, it is Christmas! And it is a Scream Street story....

Niles - Breakfast

This is how they got the joke for what Cleo wants for breakfast: every time Cleo has bacon and eggs, Niles has the same, but me and my big sister urge Niles to eat his breakfast on the floor, just like Dig does!

Mother Of All Scares

"I'm an Otty Botty, yes I am, I like tea with toast and jam." Thought this was never heard in the original episode? WELL IT IS! If I starred in the episode, I would have a huge day planned with Luke and his two friends Resus and Cleo - swimming, jumping in mud puddles and visiting Bluey and Bingo. When Sir Otto moves in with Luke and his mum and dad, I think now's the perfect time to put on 'Stripes', an episode of the classic animated Winnie The Pooh series I love most (The Great Honey Pot Robbery was too scary for me!). This is my all-time favourite New Adventures Of Pooh episode, because it's a simple tale about being yourself. Watch the original episode on iPlayer: https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b06tl94k/scream-street-series-1-13-mother-of-all-scares

Mem Is Trigger!

This is real gibberish. It's cool to act silly sometimes.

Merry Christmas, Mr Heeler!

Looks like there's a lot in store for the Heeler family this Christmas! Bluey and Bingo are outside painting with Mum, Uncle Stripe and Aunt Trixie are preparing for Christmas at their house, Uncle Rad can't stop talking about Crocovore Cove, Frisky believes in Father Christmas and Muffin has developed a friendship with Dr F! As for Socks, she has to learn that every kid big or small, young or old has a different personality.
